$24.00 NZD Regular price $49.00
Medicube Azelaic Acid 16 BB Calming Serum. It is a high-strength treatment specifically formulated to address acne-prone skin, redness, and uneven texture.

Key Benefits

  • Calms & Soothes: Reduces active inflammation, redness, and irritation, particularly for sensitive or rosacea-prone skin.
  • Refines Pores: Helps clear clogged pores and controls excess sebum production, with clinical trials showing a 17.48% improvement in pore tightening after one use.
  • Brightens & Evens Tone: Fades post-acne marks (hyper-pigmentation) and dark spots to improve overall skin clarity.
  • Texture Improvement: Gently exfoliates to smooth out rough, flaky, or "bumpy" skin texture.

Main Ingredients

  • 16% Azelaic Acid Complex: The primary active that targets acne-causing bacteria and reduces inflammation.
  • Niacinamide (Vitamin B3): Balances oil secretion, tightens pores, and helps brighten the complexion.
  • Pantothenic Acid (Vitamin B5): Supports hydration and strengthens the skin's moisture barrier.
  • BB Calming Complex: A blend of Betaine and Bisabolol designed to soothe stressed skin.
  • Supporting Botanicals: Includes Centella Asiatica, Aloe Vera, and Turmeric for additional anti-inflammatory and antioxidant benefits.

How to Use

  1. Prep: Cleanse your face and apply toner.
  2. Apply: Dispense a few drops or 1–2 pumps. Spread it gently following your skin's texture.
  3. Absorb: Lightly pat the serum into the skin rather than rubbing.

    • Note: Due to the high 16% concentration, a light film or slight residue may appear. For best results, apply in thin layers and allow full absorption before applying other products.
  4. Finish: Follow with a moisturizer. Always use sunscreen during the day.

Usage Tips

  • Frequency: Start by using it 3–4 times a week, then gradually increase to daily (morning and night) as your skin builds tolerance.
  • Avoid Mixing: Do not layer this in the same routine as other strong exfoliating acids (AHAs/BHAs) or high-strength retinoids to prevent irritation.
